Hi! My name is Dana Triebold. I’m a local life coach, and I love using The Salt Spot’s salt room for allergy relief. I specialize in helping women understand the mind–body connection and how our thoughts significantly impact health and wellness. I also support women as they navigate life changes with confidence and clarity.

I use compassionate inquiry to empower you to tune into your body—shifting focus from constant cognitive analysis to an embodied awareness of physical sensations. Many of us move through life disconnected from our bodies, guided mostly by thoughts and societal expectations. Reconnecting with your body is a powerful way to notice what it’s telling you about your health and wellbeing.

Ways to begin mindfully checking in with your body

  • Body scan (eyes closed): Start at your toes and move upward. Notice sensations without judgment—warmth, tightness, rapid breathing, low energy. Reframe these as messengers carrying important information.

  • Ask curious questions: When an emotion rises, ask, “What does this sensation need?” If low energy shows up, instead of a quick productivity hack (coffee, energy drinks), ask, “What do I really need right now?” (movement, water, rest).

  • Track patterns: Notice connections between life circumstances and the sensations or emotions you experience.

  • Practice breathwork: Simple deep belly breathing calms the nervous system and increases awareness.

The salt rooms and infrared sauna at The Salt Spot are wonderful places to give yourself permission to slow down, close your eyes, breathe, and tune in—listening to your body’s wisdom while receiving many other health benefits.
